Notice Period for Domain Names
When you register a domain name, it is good to know that the registration period depends on the extension. For popular extensions such as .nl, .com and .net, the standard registration is 1 year. It is important to cancel in time if you do not want to renew your domain name.
What is the notice period for a domain name?
We have a notice period of 1 month for the renewal date of your domain. If you decide to cancel or transfer your domain name within this period, the domain will remain active for the remainder of the registration period (1 year). After that, it will be administratively terminated. Please note that we cannot credit the costs for this registration.
Switching to another provider
No problem! You can move your domain name to another provider or transfer it to another account at any time. The choice is yours! You can arrange this via our portal .
Domain Management Tips
- Check the renewal date of your domain name regularly.
- Don't want to renew? Make sure you cancel in time, at least 1 month before the renewal date.
- We send a handy reminder email every month (Subject: Domain and TLS certificate renewals) which domains will be renewed in 1.5 months
