Are you planning to transfer your domain? Then you need a domain token or EPP code to make the transfer go smoothly. In this blog we explain how you can easily request this code, so that your transfer goes smoothly.

Why do you need a token or EPP code?

An EPP code (Extensible Provisioning Protocol) or domain token gives you as a domain owner the opportunity to transfer your domain to another provider. You can request these codes from your current hosting provider. The importance of an EPP code is that it protects your domain protects against unauthorized transfers, such as domain hijacking or phishing. Because this is sensitive information, hosting providers are careful with the provision of these codes.

How do you request your code from LinQhost?

Do you want to transfer your domain? Then you can request your EPP code via the LinQhost Portal. This way we know for sure that we are speaking to the right person, the contract holder. The login details for the LinQhost Portal are only provided to the contract holder, which means that you can safely arrange your move.

Other ways to request the code

We regularly receive requests for an EPP code via email. Because emails can easily be manipulated, we do not accept requests via this route. You can only request the code via the LinQhost Portal. Requests via telephone or from colleagues are also accepted. /partners are not accepted. As a contract holder, you can choose to share your LinQhost Portal login details with them, so they can submit the application on your behalf.
